The New Zealand-athon is here! This initiative is to help raise money for ICT equipment for our school. In line with our inquiry and the fact that we are all learning to think and thinking to learn, the New Zealand-athon is a great opportunity for all students to put their researching skills into practice. The New Zealand-athon runs for 3 weeks and there are 10 questions to answer each week, as well as extra activities to enhance our research skills even further and of course, to earn more stamps!!
Week One is all about Our Place - what do you know about where you live? Week Two is all about Citizenship - who are we as New Zealander's and what makes us unique? Week Three is all about That's Unusual - some of the more unusual things about New Zealand and our culture.
In week 4 of Term 3 all children were given a sponsorship form to collect sponsors for the New Zealand-athon, but did you know you can also collect sponsors online??? With so many of us having family and friends overseas our wonderful PTA came up with the brilliant idea of registering at Fundraise Online so that we can encourage them to sponsor you from afar!
Just click on the link below for information on how to get your family and friends involved. Remember the more sponsors you collect and the more stamps you earn, the more money you can raise to fund exciting opportunities for new ICT equipment for our school!!
